Tab Organizer is a Chrome extension maintained by Julia that turns your new tab page into a workspace for your links. Save research, organize project resources, add notes, and pick up where you left off.
Start organizing without an account. Sign in with Google when you want to sync across devices.
Save what matters. Clear some space.
Save a single tab, select a few, or turn an entire window into a collection. Choose whether saved tabs stay open or close automatically.
Organize around the way you work
Use Spaces and Collections to separate projects, topics, and reading lists. Drag to reorder, add notes for context, and search titles, URLs, and notes. When you return to a task, open the whole collection at once.
Bring your bookmarks. Keep your backups.
Import the Chrome bookmark folders you choose. Export a JSON backup to keep your collections and notes, or export HTML bookmarks to use your links in other tools.
Optional sync and AI
Sync across devices. Sign in with Google to sync your saved collections, links, and notes with your account. Your first sync also uploads workspace data already saved on the current device.
Use your own AI. Connect your own AI API key for suggestions about where to save tabs. Requests go directly from your browser to your chosen provider, without passing through Tab Organizer's servers. Once configured, selecting tabs may send their titles, URLs, and existing category names to that provider before you click AI sort. You decide which suggestions to apply. Supported providers vary by version, and API usage is billed to your own provider account.
Why sign in with Google?
Google sign-in identifies your sync account. The current sign-in flow requests your email address and basic profile information, so Google's consent screen also lists your name and profile picture. Tab Organizer does not currently display your name or picture. This authorization does not include Gmail messages or Google Drive files. You can organize tabs locally without signing in.
What happens to your data?
Your workspace is stored on your device by default. Sync, configured AI sorting, website icons, and link checks connect to the services needed for those features. See the Privacy Policy for details about what is sent, how it is used, and how to delete your data.
